LSE Business and Finance Guild
Who are we?
The Business and Finance Guild (BFG) is a student-run society at London School of Economics.
At the BFG we are committed to finding and cultivating the very best students at LSE, and providing them with the technical and professional skills to succeed in their chosen profession.
Our society has six different divisions:
• Commercial Law
• Consulting and Professional Services
• Diversity and Events
• Entrepreneurship, Industry and Technology
• Financial Services
• Investment Banking
What do we do?
By organising a perfect blend of events (such as panel discussions, interview/CV/AC workshops, conferences and networking opportunities), we have created a community of like-minded driven individuals who are able to explore different careers and aspire to succeed in their chosen profession.
We currently have more than 5000 members from 80 countries representing every course offered at LSE.
We are proud to include the following in our list of accomplishments: LGBT Leaders Symposium, Women Leaders Conference,Growth & Entrepreneurship in the Gulf with HRH Prince Abdul Aziz bin Turki bin Talal Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia (which was one of the most successful events in our Entrepreneurship series, the dialogue between HRH Prince Abdul Aziz and prominent LSE academic Professor Zoltan Acs on the issues facing the Gulf was enjoyed by over 200 of our members), Commercial Law Challenge, Fintech Conference and overseas exposure trips to Silicon Valley and Dubai.
We hold more than 200 events every year, with an average attendance of more than 50 people.
Why are we here to write?
As a society, we aim to inspire innovation, education and creativity within our members. We want to allow them to explore different career paths and equip them with the necessary skills to excel. We encourage curiosity, and this entails seeking knowledge from all angles, while questioning the status quo and make a difference.
We want to bring a fresh and ambitious perspective to current events across the industries we specialise in. We are excited and can’t wait to share this perspective with this wider entrepreneurial community.
